United Leukodystrophy Foundation Young Scientist Award Competition

The United Leukodystrophy Foundation (ULF) is soliciting research abstracts from Graduate Students and Post-doctoral Fellows for oral presentation at the ULF Scientific Meeting on July 8, 2010 in DeKalb, IL. The presenters will compete for the “2010 Young Scientist Award” given to the graduate student/fellow who has made the most significant contribution to leukodystrophy research. The abstracts should be no more than 300 words long and summarize basic science or clinically oriented research on leukodystrophies conducted by the graduate student or fellow. Applicants with faculty appointments may not apply. The ULF Research Committee will screen submitted abstracts and competitive applicants will be invited to present their work in a 10-minute talk with 5 minutes for questions. The ULF will provide costs for registration, housing and meals for the Scientific Symposium Meeting. Applicants are responsible for their own travel costs to the meeting. The winner of the Young Scientist Award will receive a certificate and be invited back to a future ULF meeting with all expenses paid. Abstracts should be submitted by e-mail to office@ulf.org by May 30th, 2010.
